Its a New Year's Partay!

The week after Christmas was spent with my mom and company. We of course had our annual New Years Bash at my aunts. The evening was spent baking (Aunt Shelia and me) and playing games (everyone else)and humping (jack *the dog) I think we may have gotten just a tad bit carried away seeing as how only 1/3 of the food was taken...oh well. I love spending time with my moms side of the family. They are the most genuine, kind, hilarious people you will ever meet.

These two are inseparable!!! My baby sister Hannah and cousin Andrew

Oh Ben, he is one of the funniest kids I have ever met

My baking buddy

This obnoxious/adorable/pervie thing could not stop humping my leg...we have it on video...perhaps i'll post it one day. ...When I need a really good laugh

and of course I have to throw my little boyfriend in the mix...I got in trouble for kissing GB on new years, I was taken to his room and informed that I was not allowed to kiss him and if I ever did it again, he would not marry me. :) He makes me smile.

Love my Family and so so so blessed to be a part of them. I know that if any one of these people (those people being my mothers side) won the lottery, they would use the money to help each other rather than selfish reasons. I don't know many, if any people like that. They are awesome, they all struggle so much, but are all so awesome are amazing examples to me. I can't wait to get to heaven and watch them be rewarded for all their faith and hard work. Happy New Year,...I am one very blessed girl!

Low Battery

I interrupt my blog updating for a special post from today.
Can I just say I. Love. Church. I really do, I mean to be completely honest, a lot of Sundays I wake up thinking ughh, I really want to sleep in and I get so bored in relief society..yep its true. Mostly just because my attention span is extremely low and by the third hour im done. No better than a toddler. But this week was different, I was more than awake.

Allow me to back up a little.

This week was a struggle. A big fat ugly struggle. I have been beat up and bruised lately with family issues, health issues, work, being overwhelmed with housework, ect. (trying to not get too personal here) All week I had tried to make my patience grow and attitude better through prayer and scripture reading. I even kept up with my gratitude journal, but nothing was helping and as it got later into the week the worse I got. By Thursday I had, had it. The little boy I nanny had pushed me over the edge. So after work that day I went to wal-mart to pick some things up on the way home. You won't BELIEVE the crazies that go there...this week, I was one of them. While in the stupid self check out my pants fell down completely exposing my religion.
*note* not alll the way down, just down past my bum.

My pants were a little loose and I was so busy trying to fight with the stupid computer scanner I hadn't stopped to pull them up and didn't notice until the polite man behind me pointed it out. Then the card slider couldn't read my card...that was my breaking point. I threw my wallet in my basked and huffed. Yep just like I was 3. Not embarrassing at all. The sweet old lady supervising the self check outs came over and smiled and said " its okay baby, we will make it work, what card do you want to use" I cried and told her my debit since I apparently can't use my gift card at the self check out. Once I got to my car I bawled and basically kinda raised my voice to the lord. " okay, im officially done, can't do it anymore..please please make it stop" I walked in and bawled to my sweet husband who smiled and laughed a little ( I am apparently adorable when I am angry) he helped calm me down ...still I didn't feel all that much better.

Okay so church. Today in our ward we had testimony meeting, One woman got up and spoke about how she was so overwhelmed with her kids fighting and housework and cried to the lord about how she was "just done" ...I knew exactly how that poor woman felt. I immediately began to feel better and even a little silly about how much I had over reacted. THEN, a second woman got up and spoke about how she had felt so beaten up and bruised from her trials...the spirit was so strong and I felt a voice whisper, " see, you are not alone, trials are part of life and I am trying to make you better" A rush of emotion came over me as I felt the spirit soothe my battered soul. Church was just what I needed today, the testimonies (and sadly the trials) of those sweet women were just what I needed. Patience is a virtue I guess, which apparently is what he is trying to teach me. Things will get better and I will be comforted, but not on my time, on his.
I am so extremely grateful for the gospel. It is so hard to be a woman. We compare ourselves with others constantly and think, "she can do it why can't I", or "her life seems so perfect, its not fair", but its not true. The truth is, none of us can handle it, not on our own at least. ALL of us require strength from the lord. I am not alone in my trials and EVERYONE has them, even if it may not seem that way. I know there are so times when I am out in public (not wal-mart) where I will smile and laugh, even though I am dying inside. No one would know I am suffering from a trial. I need to remember that other women do the same. Just cause you cant see someones pain amd struggle does not mean its not there. So this week will be a little better, not less hard, just I can deal. My battery has been recharged and I will do better this week

Meet Paige

Okay, I still have to post about New Years but first..Meet Paige.

The first night we arrived at my mom's she had a group of friends over. As I am somewhat anti-social, I hid in her room. Paige however, found me. She is adorable! she also loves to take pictures. So we did, for about an hour. She was so cute, she kept telling us how to pose and what to do. GB and I loved her. By the end of the evening she was telling everyone I was her best friend in the world. Presh!

As you can see, we had a blast with this sweet little munchkin

Christmas!!!

Christmas this year was. Incredible!!!!!!!!!
We spent the first week up through Christmas morning with the Bradhams. We had a blast with all the boys being home. Mamsi and I went shopping, the fellas played some b-ball, we went to the movies, watched a crap load of top gear, did secret Santa, went zip lining, got spoiled...it was just great.
Christmas eve was somewhat traditional... We did do Secret Santa, which was the best year we have had if I may say. We totally almost got caught since we loaded the gifts on the porch as someone was standing in the window. We dropped and bailed and hid in the brush beside their house while the dad walked around looking for us. Annndd eventually we got caught...BUT he never saw our faces. We ran like made men back to the van, oh wait except for pap. He was still stuck hiding while we were all waiting for him. It was very memorable.

When we came home I forced everyone to take a family Christmas eve photo...about 10 of them..haha suckers.

Is that a new pup? Nope, its poor Chauncey. He was shaven due to matts. He growled at the mirror when he saw himself and pouted for about 3 days. Lol

However, it was all UNtraditional from there, much to GB's dismay. Instead of watching A Christmas Carol or Miracle on 34th street, we watched a new family favorite....Top Gear. Also, the boys were lame this year and opted not to all sleep in same room. LAME boys, VERY LAME!!!!!
BUT...despite the unusual Christmas Eve, Santa came!!!! Oh yes yes he did.
Me with our loot....we must have been so very good this year.

Wait, what is that down there? Is that? could that be? ..yes, yes people. It is a Cricket. No joke I took a nap with that baby. Slept with it. in my arms. under a blanket. I love it. I also got new dishes, which I also love. I got a ridiculous amount of gifts. It was lovely.

True wub..they really love eachother. Its pretty adorable.

The day after Christmas we went Zip Lining....um did I mention I have a phobia of heights?? Yea....not cool. The first thing we did was walk up this ridiculously tall wobble bridge. IT. WAS. TERRIFYING. It didn't help that my sweet brothers kept swinging it either. little punks. Once I got up to the first line, I nearly soiled myself. I just kept telling the guide, "I can't do this, I can't do this"..so he thought it would be best to trick me and shove me down. It worked cause after only two seconds of screaming I was loving it! We had three full hours of zip line! I loved it all with the exception of the 8 wobble bridges. It was a great way to bond as a family and my brothers ended up cheering me on...sweet things! I am pretty sure I was a professional by the end. Oh except when I almost knocked the guide off the ledge, though I am not sure why he got so cross with me, I mean he was hooked in.

This one time, I went to Utah

So, Im way behind on my blog....again. A few months back I went to Utah to see my family and meet up with my pal Jessica for the Breaking Dawn event. I of course, had a blast and it only made me miss everyone more. Since a certain someone who shall remain nameless did not permit me to take his new camera...I was stuck with the old one. Oh by the way it was dead and the charger was lost. So yea....NOT a happy girl. I had to borrow my aunts camera and wait for her to send me pictures. Which is why it took me so very long to blog. Anyway, now that I have my pics and him who is nameless has been forgiven, I may now blog. Oh and also, I unfortunately forgot all the details because I have the memory of a goldfish, so Ill do my best to remember the events through my pictures. And here goes.....
When I first arrived my aunt surprised me with a shopping trip to Park City and a night stay at the most awesome ski resort I have ever seen. One thing I really miss about Utah is the snow in the winter..well I woke up to this....

Magic! It was awesome, there was a fireplace in every room and I felt like I was sleeping in a Christmas village. It was a fantastic way to kick off my week.
The rest of the week was spent soaking up every waking second with my wee little ones. I can not believe how fast they are growing, and it melts my heart that no matter how long I am away, they always remember me.

This was basically my whole week....pure heaven

Hallie, she has SO much personality and she is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen! She cracks me up...she was laughing at us laughing in and I caught a sweet little lip glossed smile in between here

Rhett, my little shadow...this little fella follows me EVERYWHERE! I absolutely love it, I mean what girl wouldn't want a cute boy obsessed with her? Can you even believe how adorable he is? I mean honestly I can't get over it. I could just sit and smile at him all. day. long.

SO I brought Kourtney sissy pants with me and Jessimica brought our friend Shelia from Hula and we went to Breaking Dawn. It was a BLAST! We bought cute accessories, got our hair and make up did, took pics in the photo booth, and played trivia to be entered into a drawing. PS we all won something from the drawing, except poor Shelia. It was so much fun and I LOVED having me some girl time.

On the honeymoon bed...Oh yea! ;)

Friday night my aunt managed to get her hands on some Vocal Point concert tickets so Kourk's and Drakie and I went. We of course made fools of ourselves jammin' out but we didn't care. It. Was. Phenomenal.

It was a great week. I missed them the second I walked into the airport.
