Total Eclipse of my Heart

Oh glorious movie! How I loved thee!! Eclipse was amazing! Me and Korks made our own shirts...they were the best there if I do say so myself ;) We started waiting in line at 5...it actually flew by pretty fast until we were in the theater and had to wait the last hour...KILLER! It esp. helped that my sweet uncle brought us dinner and dessert! Thanks Lukie poo...here are some pics from the blessed event.

Hooray for Dads

So during my 5 months of terror, I called up my dad crying and told him I needed to spend some quality time with him. Being the kind father he is, he said yes. So he asked me what I wanted to do, he even offered to take me to Hawaii! but..part of my "healing" process was releasing my inner child. What better place to be a kid again than DISNEYLAND! My dear daddy took time off work during a big international project, AND dropped everything during my families huge move to Texas. What a great dad. We had a total blast and it was just what I needed. We spent the first day at Magical Kingdom and thanks to the magical fast passes we got to ride Space Mountain 4 times, Splash mountain 2, Haunted Mansion 2, and Pirates 2!! We ate Turkey legs and I even got a yummy Mickey ice cram bar..MY FAV! It was a great day...I think the funniest part was watching a bird swoop down and literally rip this ladies turkey legs right from her hands and fly off...HILARIOUS! Here are a few of my favorite pics of that day...

mmm Turkey Leg

He makes me laugh

Day two we split between Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Let me just say on this day...I felt like I was on the surface of the sun. HOLY FRIGGIN HOT!!! But it was worth it...esp since my dad bought me a water fan friend. We went to Animal Kingdom first and that is where I fell in love. The second we stepped into Asia I knew this was going to be something special..and then...it happened. My eyes locked and the mystical mountain that lay before us...upon that sky scraping mountain...tracks. YEA baby...this sucker is a RIDE! HOLY AWESOME!!Everest had my at "pull your seats down" I easily could have ridden Everest ALL ....DAY....LONG! it was incredible.I was however disappointed in the "exotic animal" petting zoo...LAME-O. But the train ride there was pretty sweet, I did get to see a Mama elephant and her yiddle calf. We also went to Dinoland...I made a few friends there...and so did Dad. We rode a kiddy ride with some twins and he kept cracking them up...it was pretty cute. (by the way, don't you just L-O-V-E all my run on sentences) So yea Animal Kingdom was awesome. Africa was my favorite country there....oh one day I shall go and bring home a cute little black baby boy...one day. So then we headed to Epcot....ummm AWESOME! They didn't have the best rides...but I love studying other cultures (hence the anthropology major) it was soo well done and the fireworks at the end were spectacular! Here are my favorite moments from this day.

So excited for Everest!!!

and it is now currently BLOWING MY MIND

Its tough to be a bug

Thanks Dad for such a wonderful trip! It was great and I am so glad we got to spend extra time together :)

The Melody

Okay so here I am.....3 short days from my departure. 3 days from leaving family that I have grown so close to and acquired so much love for. Its gonna be hard not to play with "my" babies everyday, not being able to watch them grow and learn new things. Its gonna be hard not to laugh and giggle with Kourtney late at night, I am gonna miss our cuddle sessions and dance parties. Its even gonna be hard to not have Drake around to share his insane imagination with me. Its gonna be hard to leave my giving uncle who always has my back and never fails to make me laugh when I need it. Its gonna be SUPER hard to leave behind my aunt who has become one of my closest friends. But even though ALL of that along with several other things, is going to be hard. The hardest part is coming up with a way to thank them all. How do you thank someone who had put the melody back into your song? I have posted a little about some struggle I was going through, but it was REALLY bad. It was hands down the most difficult 5 months of my life and I could barely function...literally, while I was working through a lot of different issues. While I was blessed enough to have a very supportive husband, it wasn't enough. What he couldn't do for me, or I was unable to do for myself, my aunt did. For so long, I felt like I couldn't breathe...I feel like I can now, and not only can I breathe, but the air is so sweet. So how do you even begin to thank someone who had such a huge part of that. I don't know. I feel like a simple "Thank you" is just simply ....not enough. I am not even sure how I could express how I feel about it....so for now..until I come up with something better...I'm letting Miley explain for me...don't judge. Or you can judge, I really don't care, I am not ashamed of my love for her. Miley....YOU GO GIRL!

"Everybody needs inspiration, everybody needs a song. A beautiful melody when the nights are long. Cause there is no guarantee that this life is easy. When my world is falling apart, when there's no light to break up the dark, that's when I look at you. When the waves are flooding the shore and I can't find my home anymore, that's when I look at you."

Makin' Plans

Well, its official. Garrett and I are starting a new chapter in our life. We have moved into a cute place in Columbia, South Carolina. Let the journey begin. I am excited, nervous, sad, and extremely happy all at the same time. As graduate school has started I have begun to realize, my husband is not someone I will be seeing too often. (hence the sad part) but, we're makin' plans and like with almost all things, its gotta get hard before it gets easier. Only one week in and I can already tell its gonna be a struggle, a well worth it struggle, but a struggle none the less. so I am focusing on the future and Im gonna do my best to make the most of this ...plan we have made. I can't even begin to express how proud I am of Garrett. He blows me away. I admire his motivation and determination. I am so thankful I married someone who knows what he wants and goes for it. I am so blessed that our family will be taken care of, because my husband chose to go to school and pursue an MBA. I am sooo excited for this new journey, we are one step closer to starting our family. I can't wait to just be poor together and grow closer together. I found a song today that made me smile and think about Garrett and I...I have a feeling I will be playing this song often.

"If I wasn't by your side, I'd never be satisfied. Nothing would feel just right, if I wasn't by your side. Cause I'm not easy to understand, but you know me like the back of your hand. I'm your girl and your my man and were makin' plans. We can go on and on. Won't ever feel too long. Ill always call you home, and we'll go on and on. Cause I know you like the back of my hand got a heart of gold and you take a stand. I'm your girl and you're my man."

I Miss......

I miss cuddling this everyday...

I miss playing with this ones hair everyday....

I miss singing with princess pants everyday....

I miss playing peek-a-boo with this little guy everyday...

I (sadly)don't have a picture of either but I miss my sweet 10 year old cousin hitting on me every 20 min. and my favorite uncle telling him to stop cause im his cousin.....everyday

I miss talking to her everyday....

but most of all...I miss waking up to this everyday....

Its true that sometimes he can drive me SO crazy, but I really can't imagine my life without him. Especially now, having been deprived of his presence for a week...with one more to go, it blows my mind how I lived life before him. As absolutely korny and cheesy as it sounds, without him around...sometimes I feel like I can't breathe. Its like he came into my life and I was finally able to breathe. I know, how Gay of me...so I shall stop. I just miss him and all of these other people up there who make my life so special.

Even though I miss them, I really have enjoyed my time home. I have learned to many things about my family as well as myself. I have taken time to let things within my heal and tried to strengthen bonds. For example, I have learned that my sweet little 10 year old brother has one of the most kind hearts. He honestly does, he is so Christlike its almost eerie. I have also learned that my youngest sister here is so much more wonderful than I have ever given her credit for. She is strong willed and is a fighter but is also tender and sweet. I really admire that about her.I have sadly learned that my sweet baby sister is almost all grown up...she is not little anymore and has this huge wonderful life...that goes on with out me. I have learned that my step mom can do A LOT at one time...and it super good at juggling everyone's needs all at once. Most importantly I have learned that I have an excellent loving father, who at the most busy time of his life, can take time out and put in all on hold to take me on a trip to fulfill my needs. I have learned that I am a whole lot stronger than I thought I was and that with God, anything really is possible. I am excited for the remainder of my time and look forward to getting to know the Bradhams even better at the beach. My sweet mother in law took me on a girls day out and we picked strawberries and just talked and it was wonderful, she is so easy to talk to and it such a great listener.
